I have been going here for 2 years and 10 months (you do the math, I have a 2-year old).  As the others indicated, the female doctors are a plus if you are shy (which I'm not) or if you appreciate people who identify with your health issues (which I do).  The staff is amazingly nice.  The only time I've had to wait was when my doctor's patient went into labor and she was on call.  Usually they are busy when lots of patients decide to go into labor at once.  They have been through a lot with me and have been gracious and supportive through it all.  They entertained my stupid first-pregnancy questions and concerns and treated each issue seriously and with respect.  They also have privileges at the Texas Woman's Hospital next door which is why I picked them in the first place.

This is a place for women. In general I'm not particular about the sex of  my doctors but when it comes to someone checking out my lady parts I prefer a lady doctor.  Houston Women's Care Associate is a group of all-female Ob/Gyns and certified nurse practitioners presumably ready to take on any of your female needs. The practice is comprised of about a dozen or so doctors and if you want to learn more about their education and experience you can check out their bios are on the practice web site. I called in and saw a doctor within the week -- which was refreshing from the three month waits I've had in other cities. The nurses, staff, and doctor were all nice and helpful and in general it was a pretty easy visit to the doctor.

I'm taking a star off for the two times I had to wait for the doctor to see me (both over 15 minutes). When you're paying for parking you don't want to want to spend an hour and a half ($5) sitting around for a routine exam.

Lisa's review is pretty spot on, so I'm going to feel like I am just repeating what she has to say.  I just switched over to this place after my former doctor retired.  I too am pretty particular about my woman's care being done by a female doctor, and this practice is FULL of them.  I decided to go the lottery route and let them pick someone who was available, and I really lucked out with Dr. Dimano.  She and her nurse (and everyone I came into contact with there) were so nice--really made me feel comfortable (which is NOT what you first think of when you think of these sorts of visit).  I actually had a really good time there.  Oh, and I didn't have to wait forever either--I got there a little early to fill out some paperwork and they called me right at my appointment time--a nice change from my usual doctor experiences.  The entire process took very little time, although Dr. Dimano did talk with me in her office to get to know me a little before the exam, which I really appreciated.

One note about parking--it is NOT free...about $1 for each 30 minutes with a $5 maximum.   If you're like me and don't carry cash, there is a Walgreen's on the first floor of the building that has an ATM.  Also, although the address is 7400 Fannin, the building NAME is "One Fannin."  That confused me briefly so I thought I'd point it out.

I'm happy with my choice and have a really good feeling about this place.
