I have been going to Joy Yoga on and off for about 4 years.  It was my first experience with yoga and I keep coming back because I truly believe that their style of practice is the best for me and my personality.  Most of the teachers do a Vinyasa style, flowing and connected.  The new location is amazing, clean and comfortable.  I was afraid that it would be too sterile after the cozy hole-in-the-wall prior location, but it had the same energy as the old place.  I was completely comfortable and happy.

Like Melody, Joy Yoga helped me through a particularly difficult time in my life and has helped me transform my body and mind and improved my overall wellbeing!  Okay, yes, I drank the Kool-Aid...

I trusted the Yelp and it did not let me down.  Great yoga

Was in for Stanford tourney + Fox News http://www.duck9.com/f... and had a gap in my Thursday evening so I partook in Yoga.  Took Mandy W's class and it was really great.

Usually Yoga instructors aren't immersed in the frazzled day-to-day but it was refreshing that she was semi hither tither too.  It's also different that she didn't do many adjustments or assists as instructor.  Omg, I am so spoiled because I bank on getting yoga affection/attention.

But HEY, if I were cute petite lil Joy Yoga instructor I don't think I'd be touching my sweaty 222 lb frame either

Oh my goodness, Joy Yoga saved my life.  This summer I had a broken heart and I wanted to start doing something to keep my mind and body centered so I decided to get back into yoga and a friend took me to Joy.  I think for the first month I cried every day and Joy (and the other instructors) just let me be.  They would not comment on my tear-streaked face, they might come by and push me DEEPER into the pose but that was it.

They do a Vinyasa (sp?) type of yoga that is more about flowing from one position into another one.  It is almost like a dance and the hour just flies by.  Well after 6 months, I realized that I have got a rockin' hard yoga body, so if I ever see the guy who broke my heart, I will be looking fine as shit.

Classes are getting booked, so get there about 15 minutes early and secure a space by the windows.
