Neighborhood: River OaksI've always loved La Griglia, even after it was bought out by the Landry's conglomerate. They have actually left most as-is and it is still consistently good, fresh food cooked well. It is a great place to get high quality well prepared food (made with love) and a glass of wine. We stopped in for a late bite one night a few weeks ago and sat at the bar. We had clams and a glass of wine. The clams were amazing and were true to what clams are supposed to be! It's about the sauce, the clam juice that is released during cooking. And the bread basket they brought us was perfect for sopping up said sauce! The bartender was really nice and gave us great service. I am going to have to go back soon for those clams!

I love this swanky joint. This is one of my date places when I want to impress. Service is good. Ambiance is great. Low lighting. Intimate. Pretty damn good in my book despite the Tilman F. ownership. I guess he decided not to "mess" with this gem. Good choice!!!

My boss listed La Griglia as being "one of the two power lunch spots you can take a client in Houston" (the other being the Coronado Club). True to form, the service was quick, the food was very tasty, and the service was very attentive. It was decorated very well with a modern, colorful feel to it

Wonderful atmosphere and good food. The margarita pizza in the bread basket is great. Good calamari and seafood pasta dishes. Incredible deserts.
A solid menu with a fresh antipasti bar, that will remind you of the fresh cold cuts, cheese and olives served in fine trattoria's on the Mediterranean. I enjoy the fresh and hot pizza margarita that bubbles as it cools on the table. Sit close to the pizza oven as we get close to winter: it's romantic, and warm, too!
The service is typically good, and management does honor special requests. My only ding is that it's a Landry's joint; and, as some of you know Tilman F. is not my favorite owner in the world. It reminds one that the Grotto is the other link in the chain. The good part is the food (in spite of my nemesis putting in his two cents), and the fresco walls and ceiling. Go with a client, or for pleasure, then hit the Laff stop after
